Gardening Action Team

Last updated on 9th March 2017

Gardening Action Team

Our gardening action team is part of our ’Growing into Employment’ scheme. The scheme is about enabling people who have become economically inactive over the longer-term, to move back towards employment opportunities.

Before joining the project, workers are assessed for suitability and will have demonstrated their knowledge and skills through undertaking a range of work related training with us beforehand.

The Gardening Services project is operated on a co-operative share basis. Each individual receives an equitable monetary payment based on the number of hours worked on the project. All income generated through the project goes directly into supporting it to develop and benefit its workers.

The team is led and trained by Ed Milne. Ed studied Countryside Recreation Management and has many years practical experience in developing and maintaining gardens large and small.
