Our aim here at Garden-Able is to replace a shed, that is no longer fit for purpose. Garden-Able is based in the Bradley ward of Nelson, which is in the bottom 1% of wards nationally. We provide opportunities for over 50 people a year, supporting adults with learning difficulties and adults with mental ill heath.
When asked why the shed needed replacing, Geoff from Garden-Able said, “It’s not fit for purpose at the moment, it’s too small. Because the project is growing in size it’s too small to cope with the demands placed upon it. We want to double the width it is at the moment. The plan is to have electricity in there, so we can put a kettle on and have a brew and have power sockets to charge tools.”
